O’FALLON –  The Rotary Club of O’Fallon Sunrise is once again working with the YMCA to build a community garden near the parking lot of the facility. The old garden had to be torn out during the YMCA’s parking lot expansion last year.

The garden began in 2009 when the Rotary Club of O’Fallon Sunrise first approached the O’Fallon YMCA. All of the produce from the garden supports the O’Fallon Food Pantry and has supplied over 7,600 pounds of vegetables. During the parking lot expansion last year, Sunrise Rotary continued to support the Food Pantry with three vegetable beds at the State Street garden while planning an upgrade for the YMCA garden.
