O’FALLON – As dusk began to fall, O’Fallon residents gathered at Carriel Jr. High on Saturday, Aug. 4 to participate in the Music of the Night 5k run and walk to support music in local school districts.
The 5k is the sixth annual music-themed night run. Participants were asked to wear reflective or glow-in-the-dark clothing. Music filled the air as students played while the runners took to the streets.
The 8 p.m. race began and ended at Carriel Jr. High and the route was illuminated by tiki torches to help guide runners.
