Downstate judge rules Pritzker’s COVID-19-related orders are void

SPRINGFIELD — All of Gov. JB Pritzker’s executive orders since April 8 pertaining to the novel coronavirus pandemic are void because he exceeded his authority when he used his emergency powers for more than 30 days, a Clay County judge ruled Thursday.

Bailey refuses to wear mask during session, removed from arena

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois House voted Wednesday afternoon to remove Republican state Rep. Darren Bailey, of Xenia, from session at the Bank of Springfield Center after he refused to comply with a facial-covering requirement in newly-adopted House rules.

Pritzker says stay at home order is “still very much in effect”
