As Memorial Day approaches, so does the unofficial beginning of summer. Most people begin having outdoor activities such as BBQ’s, swimming, and outdoor summer gatherings. Along with outdoor activities comes one of our most enjoyable insects, the mosquito. With the dry mild winter we just had, and the abundance of wet weather this spring, mosquitos will be very active.
There are new mosquito repellents on the market today which offer some relief to those venturing outdoors in the mosquito season. But there are also plants which are easy to grow and will have some effect in repelling mosquitoes from areas of your home, garden and outdoor entertaining areas.
