Third Grade Jr. Panthers take second in Wesclin MLK tourney

The Third Grade Jr. Panthers competed in the Wesclin Hoops MLK Tournament this past weekend.

In the team’s first game on Friday evening, the boys took on and defeated Highland, 28-11.

The boys continued their win streak on Saturday in both games. In their first game against Breese, they won 22-11. Then later in the evening, the team defeated Metro East Heat 13-11.

The boys were ready for the championship game Sunday evening. Taking on Bartelso, they gave it their all but came up a bit short in a close match-up, falling 23-18.

The Third Grade Jr. Panthers placed second in the tournament overall.
