O’FALLON – The O’Fallon Parks and Recreation helped area fathers make their daughters feel like princesses for an evening at their annual Daddy Daughter Dance at the Regency Conference Center on Friday, February 8.

Friends Norah Willis, Emma Woolsey, and Molly Dallner met up at the dance with their fathers and had a night full of memories. Each young lady had attended a Daddy Daughter Dance prior to attending this one. Each of them had a different emotion as they attended the 2019 dance.

“I think it is just a really cool experience and you get to have a lot of fun dancing and getting to enjoy yourself,” Woolsey said.

“I think tonight is about dancing with my dad, along with my sister and friends,” Willis said.

“I think tonight will be fun, with my friends, along with my dad. I get to hang out with my sister as well, Dallner said.

Girls were enjoying having their dads spin them around on the dance floor. There were a couple of the dads that handled the slow dances best, but some fathers kept to the pace of the newer, faster-paced dances. Even when the dads needed to head over to the refreshment table, the girls kept on dancing.

The DJ, Jeff McMillian A.K.A. DJ JEFF MAC, has been DJing for the past 24 years. He was honored when asked to participate in this event.

“Everyone is having a great time and I get to be a part of making that happen,” McMillian said.

Girls of all ages got to dance the night away with their dads. McMillian played songs from Disney movies Frozen and Moana to upbeat Taylor Swift songs. The girls even got to dance to the Cha-Cha and the Macarena. The girls came all dressed up in their best evening dresses and most had on a flower corsage from their dads.
