O’FALLON – A hall rental request was approved for an upcoming townhall meeting during the September meeting of the O’Fallon Township Board of Trustees.
O’Fallon Ward Four Alderman Herb Roach requested to use the township hall for a meeting to update ward residents about city business and to answer questions. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 11, from 6-8 p.m. The board unanimously approved the hall usage request.
In other business…
- Township Clerk Dave Witter announced that petitions for the consolidated election, to be held on April 4, 2017, may begin being circulated on September 21. The period to turn in petitions runs from December 12-19.
- During the Supervisor’s Report, Township Supervisor Gary Ahle asked the trustees to read over a draft resolution setting compensation for the Township officials. The resolution must be passed at least 180 days prior to the start of the new term of office. The trustees will discuss and vote on the resolution at their October meeting.
- The board unanimously approved a donation of $150 to the O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce for a silver hole sponsorship at their Annual Golf Tournament.
