Two Cents Worth – Dec 30, 2015

As 2015 prepares to end, it’s time to address a few items I’ve been meaning to touch upon.

First, please remember to send in details about your upcoming events for the What’s Happening page. I hear from a great number of readers that look at that page, so don’t overlook this opportunity to spread the word about what you’re up to. We will run events taking place in the O’Fallon and Shiloh area at no charge.

Second, if you’re going on a trip anytime soon, remember to bring your copy of the O’Fallon Weekly and take a photo with it at an exotic location. Readers and I really enjoy seeing all of the different places the paper goes. I plan on printing a map later this year showing all of the places the Weekly has gone so far. It’ll have to be a world map since it’s left the country a few times! So don’t forget to send me those Weekly Traveller pictures.

Third, would you like to receive your copy of the O’Fallon Weekly conveniently in your mail? Please consider purchasing a subscription. We are offering print subscriptions so that you don’t need to worry about missing an issue or having to make a trip out to one of our many distribution spots. For less than $3 per month, the Weekly will be delivered to your door. Hard to beat that deal…

Fourth, I continue to want to hear from you about things you like or dislike about the Weekly. Consider sending a letter to the editor telling me your thoughts. You can email your letters to or mail them to PO Box 662, O’Fallon, IL 62269.

Finally, please help us to spread the word about the O’Fallon Weekly. The best endorsement we can possibly receive is when someone tells a friend or family member about us and where they can find our paper. I can’t believe how much and how quickly we have grown since we launched in April. It’s only because so many of you have embraced what we’re trying to do and helped us along that we’ve gotten this far. I’m thanking you from the bottom of my heart and asking you to please continue, as there are still plenty of folks who haven’t seen a copy yet.

I’m really looking forward to 2016. We have some very exciting things on deck to roll out next year and I can’t wait for you to see and experience them. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and wish everyone a Happy New Year.
