It’s National Small Business Week, which has me thinking a lot about my past three months.
Back in January, my partner and I decided to take the plunge and start this newspaper. Like all other small business owners we felt the need to use our talents to serve our community.
And like all small businesses, we need support from the community to thrive and be able to continue to do what we do.
A new restaurant doesn’t stay open for long if no one ever goes to eat, right?
So, we need your help.
The only way the O’Fallon Weekly can work as we envisioned it is with everyone pitching in.
I am humbly asking that if you have any story ideas, photos, or press releases to please send them to me. Additionally, if you’re getting ready to throw an event, shoot me an email and let me know about it.
If you own or run a business and would like to be a distribution point for the O’Fallon Weekly, just let me know and I’d be glad to add you to my route.
Do you know a sports enthusiast who can string some sentences together and snap a picture or two? Does that actually describe you? We’re in need of someone to cover local sports.
Are you in a local club or organization? Let me know meeting times and things you are up to.
We envision the O’Fallon Weekly as a patchwork quilt, where everyone contributes little patches. If we all work together, the O’Fallon Weekly can be what we believe it can be.
