The O’Fallon Weekly welcomes Rich Hull as its newest sports writer.

Rich will be covering Panthers’ varsity baseball, softball, boy’s and girl’s track and girl’s lacrosse for the remainder of the Spring/Summer season.

Rich and his family are transplants from the West Michigan area and love high school and college sports. He was the Sports Editor of his hometown newspaper, The Rockford Squire, for a couple of years; and before that, covering what needed to be covered as a stringer off and on for eight years.

His goal is always to put a positive look on every game that he covers, and his philosophy is “it’s all about the kids.”

This isn’t Rich’s full time job. Rich works for Belleville Shoe Mfg. where he is a Project Manager in the Product Development Dept. He is a ‘modern day cobbler’ of sorts. He makes shoes fit and function properly from a picture – from concept to mass production.

Rich is excited to be writing and covering high school sports again. Look for him on the field taking pics and talking to the fans. He would also love your feedback; so, don’t be afraid to say something to him at a game.
